KBANK captures K-Mobile Banking together with a big business partner, launches ‘SMS Jai-Ngai-Dai-Loey” a new SMS service. Enabling customers in easier payment and be informed of their payment deadlines after receiving SMS; Expecting that customers using financial transactions via their mobile phones will increase around 15-20 percent.
KBANK together with DTAC introduce “ATM SIM”, the SIM card innovation that offers handy financial transactions for Thai people. It is Thailand’s first and only service that enables customers to use ATM services via their mobile phones. Customers can check their bank balance, do transferring and payments and also be noticed of their payment deadlines.
KBANK Deputy General Manager Kritsada Lumsum says that communication technology has been growing rapidly, especially for mobile phone. The amount of mobile phone users has increased rapidly from 46.6 percent in year 2005 to 101.8 percent in year 2009. Moreover, mobile phone can do any transactions better especially about financial transactions; which was developed to be a convenient and safe optional channel. For now, it has been interesting widely as ATM SIM service that KBANK has jointly developed with DTAC. To make financial transactions via mobile phones, there are over 2.3 million statements per month.
Recently, KBANK has jointly developed “SMS Jai-Ngai-Dai-Loey’ with a business partner for ATM SIM users. Whenever customer has received an SMS in order to inform or be informed about product and service payment which specify the total balance and detail in each time of billing, they can make a payment by pressing confirmation button; the system will ask for password and deduct the money in their bank account for paying those service fee immediately.
SMS Jai-Ngai-Dai-Loey service will be the most convenient channel for present customers as it can make any transactions by their own hands from wherever they are. It could respond the innovativeness people who want the convenience and quickness without any problems from late payment. After launching this service, the financial transactions via mobile will be increased around 15-20 per cent. In a short time, the bank will also expand the above service to K-Mobile banking Plus customers.
KBANK Vice President Silawat Santivisut adds that the service is enabling for KBANK credit card spending, pays the bills of public utilities, monthly phone fees.
In October 2009 will be able to mobile purchase of movie tickets from SF Cinema City theatres and further develop their system to support Amway’s product fee, Air Asia Air Ticket, Concert Tickets through Thai Ticket Major and plan to expand the project with new business partners by emphasizing on fast service, reduce time and difficulty for transactions such as Food Delivery, Leasing and Insurance.
KASIKORNBANK and DTAC further develop their advanced ATM SIM system to support money transfers to the accounts of seven more banks, bill alert service and mobile purchase of movie tickets from SF Cinema City theaters. ATM SIM is expected to attract 1 million subscribers by this yearend.
For the first 20 lucky customers of the day, who register the service ‘SMS Jai-Ngai-Dai-Loey’ and make any financial transactions servicefrom 20 August to 30 September 2009, they will get 2 movie tickets from SF Cinema every day.
Kritsada adds on that KBANK focuses on technology service and care to customers to get the convenience of entire service in order to cover of all business section. Also, it would be an answer of the real leading service via mobile phone.
